Upon seeing WZ play with the chair, mommy casually remarks that he's gonna get his fingers caught in the switch one of these days. As if on cue WZ promptly gets his fingers caught in the switch. :P

So I finally was able to put in the finishing touches on the little Silverlight thingy that I've been working on. Basically it's something to help make video podcasts a little more interesting. Do remember you need to install Silverlight 2 Beta 2 to view this. But if you don't have it installed you'll see a nice little button to install it anyway.

The whole backend that runs this system is an interesting item for discussion at a future date.

I've just been so busy for the past few weeks, and damn.. there's just so many things I want to post! WZ videos.. pics.. reviews of 2 pieces of gear I recently got.

Not to mention I need to repost ALL my Deep Zoom stuff since Silverlight Streaming is now finally Silverlight Beta 2 capable!! woohoo!!

A client came up with an unusual request. They wanted to build an online shop, what was unusual was that because of the value of the things which they were selling, they wanted to offer credit card monthly instalment payment. Now I know on a retail level the shop just keys in the number of months plus the interest rate when you make a purchase.

But how do you do that on the internet? do they even offer services like that on the internet? The normal payment providers don't seem to have a solution for us, I wonder if I'll have to talk to the credit card companies directly?

Anyone ever done something like this before?

WZ peed on me. I think that about covers everything a person needs to go through with his child. Oh.... I guess there's that one other thing.

I just went to watch Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull this morning. I decided to check out how it would feel to watch a normal movie on an IMAX screen, cause I *thought* they would be getting some nice proper IMAX prints.

I guess I should have noticed something was wrong went the trailers played and I noticed that everything felt blurred and stretched. Then when the movie started I had this feeling that the picture was just a *little* bit off focus, and then I noticed IT! There was VIGINETTING on the picture!!! If you don't know what that is, it's when the camera's lens casts a shadow over the picture in the corners. That's when I realized..

I DON'T THINK I'M WATCHING AN IMAX PRINT!!!!

It must be just a normal movie print and then they MAGNIFIED the image to be shown on the large screen. But the end result is like stretching a 640x480 image to be viewed on a 1280x960 screen, you just don't feel that the picture is sharp enough.

Damn I felt so disappointed with that, to think I went all the way down to Berjaya Times Square and didn't even get the intended results of watching the movie nicely on the big ass screen.

The next time I go to IMAX to watch a movie is when I can CONFIRM that the movie actually HAD an IMAX print made, if not it's just a waste of time and effort to have to go to IMAX just to catch a movie thinking it'd be special to watch a movie on the multi story screen.

As for the movie itself? Not bad, I enjoyed myself. It was nice how they decided to satisfy certain questions fan boys would have.

So... Silverlight 2 Beta 2 is finally out, and you can get it from here. And you can finally go live with a commercial project on this Beta 2 right now. Which means there are some breaking changes between this beta and the previous one. Of course a person was never meant to deploy anything important on the previous beta.

Not only do I have to recompile all my Silverlight 2 Beta 1 applications I also need to reprocess all my Deep Zoom Images as well. So I might as well go ahead and clear out my whole Silverlight Streaming folder and start afresh!

I think I'm gonna have to cycle to work soon!

There's your problem.. the video cable isn't connected and it's as if one of the keys are stuck and thus failing the POST test.

Thanks to various occurrences of Murphy's Law I'd had a pretty lousy weekend, but I ain't gonna bitch about it here cause I know at least one of my friends had an ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE LIFE CHANGING weekend. So to show my respect to that person I shall not bitch.

Here's what I've just got.

Granted that buying these 2 things together would seem to be some sort of a paradox.

Maximum weight allowance of 150Kg, cool means that it'll work for me! Didn't have much time to spend on it yet but after the initial weight in it says that my BMI is.. normal but of course there are many schools of thought out there that say that BMI isn't accurate since it doesn't take into account muscle mass, etc. etc. But heck I don't have much muscle mass to begin with anyway!
