I don't usually care too much about product brochures, usually they just contain bullet points of prominent features, which is good for the casual buyer, but never quite useful enough for the more technically inclined customers like me.

Then I saw the brochure for the Gigabyte M912 Convertible Netbook, it's essentially one of the first netbook computers (ie, something with an Intel Atom processor and costs < RM2k) to have a touchscreen and hence is usable as a Tablet PC. Something that I'm always interested in.

As with most netbooks it comes with 1GB of RAM, just like most other netbook user out there I was interested in seeing if we could upgrade it's RAM, or if we attempted to do it ourselves would we void any warranty.

Then I saw this on the brochure.

IMAG0017

Not only did they mention that the memory and hard disk are easily upgradable, they were nice enough to provide a picture of just how easily accessible it is. One large panel at the bottom.

Whoever made this brochure definitely knows what their users might be looking for when choosing a netbook.
