In case you guys haven't figured it out yet, my wife's pregnant! The stick you saw below was a positive pregnancy test kit!

So today we went over to University Hospital to get an initial check up done and while the doctor was using the ultrasound scanning thingy and pointed to that little blinking thing on screen saying "See that's the little heart right there." While he was trying to go for an awwww reaction from me I was more interested on the fact that on the device itself he could after pausing the display, call up a mouse pointer, drag a line the size of the fetus and then the device gave out a length measurement and an estimated fetal age for the given fetal length. Interesting! My wife punched me in the arm once she figured out what I was staring at...

Then came the fun part, paying the bill and picking up the medicine. Damn.. that process just took about as long as the examination itself, possibly longer. So... why UH as some of you might ask? Well the place might not have a good rep but the doctor comes highly recommended.

Well... from all accounts the doctor reckons the fetus is ok!! Now once we get passed the rocky first trimester we should be in the clear.

I'm just glad there was only ONE fetus visible on screen! :P

hey bro.. nice to know u've actually used ur stick to good use :P and congrates on the coming of generation. UH have the best equipment in the country, partly coz government hospitals have ample budget to get new machines rather then private hospitals where the machine they use is as old as proton saga. well we shall wait to see if its a boy or gal next.. hehee. good job wor, heheee

What was the stick being used for if it wasn't being put to good use? Was it even used?
